There is good news from the world badminton championship for India. PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal recorded victories to assure India of at least two bronze medals in the BWF World Championships 2017 taking place in Glasgow, Scotland.

London Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal continued her glorious performance, beating Scotland's  Kirsty Gilmour 21-19, 18-21, 21-15 to win the quarter-finals. With the victory of Saina Nehwal, two medals of India have been confirmed.

Sindhu entered the final four after beating China's Sun Yu in the quarter-finals. The world's fourth seed Sindhu beat Chinese player 21-14, 21-9 in a 39-minute match.
